ABOUT OUR CAMPS
AYJC School Holiday Camps are a chance for Australian students of Japanese to stay engaged in their language and cultural studies while travel restrictions prevent overseas school trips and student exchange.
Students interact with native and fluent speakers, meaning they have the chance to practice not only speaking, listening, writing and reading skills, they also are exposed to the culture and customs of Japan.
Through a variety of camp activities, AYJC School Holiday Camps gives students organic opportunities to prepare for future school trips and/or speaking exams.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
WHO CAN APPLY?
AYJC School Holiday Camps are scheduled during NSW School Holidays and are open to students in Years 8-12 Australia wide (so long as inter-state travel is permitted). All students must currently be studying/ learning Japanese.
There are no minimum numbers to apply- individual and school group applications are welcome! Applications will only be accepted from parents/ guardians or the school principal.
Please note: We require a minimum total number of 20 students to run a camp. If there are not enough student participants, the camp will be postponed.
